Gluten Free Popovers~Glutino

 Gluten Free Popovers~Glutino

I have made Gluten/Dairy free Popovers
with using Glutino's Gluten free All purpose flour.
You will need either 2-6 mold non-stick popover tins
or you can use a 12 non-stick deep cup muffin tin
or 2-6 non-stick deep cup muffin tins.

Ingredients
Recipe makes 12 servings
You can cut the recipe in half to yield 6 servings.

1 teaspoon corn starch( substitute xanthan gum)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoon non-dairy butter spread or shortening(Organic Spectrum butter flavor),melted
4 organic cage free large eggs, room temperature
2 cups non-dairy milk(almond milk)

  Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 °F . Spray the popover tins with non-stick coconut oil spray. I am using my Kitchen Aid Mixer , you can use a large bowl , Mix or whisk together the dry ingredients .
Glutino All Purpose flour, cornstarch, kosher salt .

Mix in the almond milk then add one egg at a time to the flour mixture .
Then slowly add in the melted butter(making sure it is cooled in temperature).

The batter will have a smooth consistency
(in between  the consistency of a pancake batter and crape batter-not to thick & not to thin).

I place the popover tins in the oven to preheat for about 10 minutes .
Then I remove from oven and then add some non dairy butter spread in each popover well then pour the popover batter on top of the melted butter spread filling the well half way mark.
Bake for 25 minutes or till golden brown.

Remove from oven and  pop them onto a cookie rack to cool .
Brush more non butter spread on top of each popover.

Enjoy!!!
I like to top mine with more non dairy butter spread & honey .
Top them with any flavored jams & jellies .
Serve along side for dinner with a Pot Roast or Beef Stew !!!!

 Review
Glutino All Purpose flour worked great in this recipe , however I  would like to redo this recipe with using xanthan gum in place of cornstarch to see if there is a texture difference.
I will definitely try Glutino All purpose flour on more baked good recipes !!!!
This product is really easy to find in any grocery store or health food store.
