Cranberry Sauce~Yum!

                                                                Cranberry Sauce
                                                               Last year's Recipe

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving last year so

                               I'm preparing my holiday menu

for this year and cranberry sauce

definitely will be a part of our Holiday meal.

                                           Make a double batch ...

Great for a leftovers lunch  to add on turkey sandwiches.

INGREDIENTS:

1 package (12 ounce size) fresh cranberries, picked over
1 cup sugar(Stevia)
2 cinnamon sticks or 1/4
teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 cup water
Squeeze of lemon juice
(You can mix this recipe up with substituting  1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg or cloves and/or orange juice & honey & 2 tablespoons firmly packed  brown sugar )

PREPARATION:

In a saucepan combine the cranberries, sugar, cinnamon , squeeze of lemon and the water.
Simmer the mixture, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the mixture is thickened.

Transfer the sauce to a bowl and let it cool.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
                                  Serve with your Thanksgiving Turkey.
