Trick or Treat ?

I have few more tricks up my sleeve
for some treats I made for a Halloween Party !

For a quick yummy  treat to make
you can't go wrong with Betty Crocker....

Mississippi Mud Supreme Bars!
Just follow the recipe on the box ....
All you will need is eggs, butter & water.
Add Orange icing and top with Halloween sprinkles
& cut up into bite size pieces !

Of course I had to make Pie pops !
( Gives me an  excuse for me to eat a few )
This time of year I always order from House of Webster's
Dutch apple preserves & Pumpkin butter for my pie pop recipe.
Ingredients :

1 pkg of store bought pie crust
Apple pie & pumpkin Pie spice for topping
Apple pie preserve & Pumpkin butter filling
(I used House of Webster )
             1 egg , beaten
             Flour for dusting
             Turbindado sugar for topping
1 oz of Water in a cup

Tools:
             1-2 inch cookie cutter
             Baking sheet
             Cooling rack
             32 - (6 inch) lollipop sticks
             Rolling pin
             Fork & tooth pick
             Silicone pastry brush

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F  & Roll out the pie crust
on a well-floured surface until it is 1/8-inch thick.

                                      Using a  round cookie cutter,
cut out 16 rounds, for 8 pie pops.
Place about 1/2  teaspoon of the  Pumpkin Butter
filling in the center of 8 rounds.
Repeat instruction for Dutch Apple pie filling.

Place the lollipop stick in the middle of the 8 rounds.

With your pastry brush or finger circle the edges with water
so you can seal the top layer.

Use a little flour on your fork to crimp the edges
so your fork doesn't stick to the pie dough

Poke each pop with a toothpick

in the center about 5-6 holes to vent.

Brush the tops of each pie pop with egg wash.

Sprinkle each pop  with  pumpkin pie spice.

Sprinkle each pop with the turbinado sugar
                                                 and decorative sugar mixture .

Bake the pie pops until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
(My oven its about 17-18 min)
Once cooked, let them rest to cool.

                                            After pie pops cooled....
Place each of  the pie pops
into favor bag and tie with the ribbon.

I use 2 different Halloween decorative ribbons
to distinguish the 2 pie pops fillings.
Happy Halloween Ribbon = Pumpkin pie pops.

Orange & Black Ribbon =Dutch Apple pie pops.
Place the block of foam inside Halloween bucket tin
to make sure it fits securely  .

Place & arrange the the decorated pie pops into the foam.

I used green spider web string that is stretchable
and placed it in the bottom of the bucket.

Place the pie pops in the bucket.

On top of bucket, cover the foam

with remaining green spider web string.

                                                 Ready for a Treat?

                                               ~One more spooktactular treat ~

                                           Pumpkin Autumn Caramel Corn Buttons

What you'll need:
          square pretzels
Hershey's Kisses (Pumpkin pie flavor !)
          Autumn Caramel candy corn

                                                 Preheat oven to 200°

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

and arrange the pretzel squares on baking sheet.

                                                   Unwrap the Hershey Kisses .

Place the Hershey Kisses  on top the pretzel squares.

Bake for 2-3 minutes until the chocolate is shiny and soft
(Do not melt - they should still hold their shape).

Carefully place a Candy Corn in the center of each Hersey Kiss
and press it down to spread the chocolate.

                                                       Allow to cool completely.
(a few minutes in the freezer works perfectly)
I placed the buttons on a tray with some Halloween peeps .

Giving you a few of  these baking tricks
these treats will be a hit at any Halloween event or Party!
