Happy Memorial Day!

Today is Memorial Day , Today  I'm thinking of my son who is currently serving in the United States Air Force and want to say Thank you to him and to all Military men & women for all that you do and sacrifice for all Americans.

A few Photos of my son...I'm a very proud Mother !

Ricky over in Iraq and back home!

                                                                      My HERO!

I will  remember all the heroes who have fallen & never be forgotten !

It is the soldier
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Our Memorial Day decor at our house to celebrate Home of the Brave.

Red , White & Blue Tablescape

My husband & I spent the day by the pool and then we went for a motorcycle ride and ended  up at  the beach to feed the birds and watch the sunset, however the weather was pretty cloudy and windy due to the Tropical Storm .... we got the tail of the storm with not much rain.

                 Land

             of the

        Free !

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,

What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?

Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:

Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!

Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave

From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land

Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,

And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."

Very relaxed & peaceful as we sat by the water & took  in the waves .....
